Be a part of the Slam!
People of all ages are invited to submit an original sea story that can be read on the Strand stage. Tales about the time you were shipwrecked, attacked by a giant sea-monster, or went fishing with your grandpa, anything goes as long as it’s about the ocean! Stories can be true or fantasy adventures.
Stories should be submitted in advance and be about 800 words or less. Stories longer than 800 words may be submitted, however a five minute passage will be selected for presentation. Authors may read their own work, or actors and radio stars are standing by to deliver your tales with the utmost drama (such as Liz McCleod of Strand on the Air).
