FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Two City Center, Portland, Maine (June 2022)
Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Maine’s leading luxury real estate company, is proud to announce Ryan FitzGerald of South Portland has joined the brokerage. “We are pleased to welcome Ryan FitzGerald to the Portland office. His experience as a real estate investor and local business owner will greatly benefit his clients along with the resources found only at Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty,” says Chris Lynch, President. “It’s remarkable when our agents introduce us to a professional they want to work with on our team and Ryan is another example of that.”
Ryan grew up in MidCoast Maine in a house his parents built on Megunticook Lake. He spent summers there fishing with his sister and winters playing pond hockey and exploring the woods around their house. This idyllic setting began a love for the beauty and peacefulness of Maine and instilled in Ryan an appreciation for the joys that the right home and setting can bring to one’s life.
After graduating from Claremont McKenna College, Ryan studied architecture at Columbia University and then received a master’s degree from the Yale School of the Environment.
After graduate school, he jumped at the opportunity to move back to Maine to manage his family’s American-made textiles business. During that time, Ryan developed a passion for real estate investing and development, buying and managing single and multi-family properties in the Portland area, and completing a historic mill redevelopment project in Saco.
Ryan seeks to simplify the often-daunting process of real estate transactions for his clients, ensuring that they are understood and represented. With his extensive experience with renovations and analysis of investment properties, he helps clients understand the costs associated with their property and can help them analyze target properties from an investment perspective.
When working with Ryan you can expect professionalism, diligence, tireless advocacy on your behalf, and, most of all, the results you are hoping for.
On his time off you can catch him trying to improve his putting on the golf course or with his partner Alice walking their dog, Wally, at Willard Beach in South Portland or up a mountain in western Maine.
