Linda Littlefield Grenfell, Environmental Educator and Maine Master Naturalist, currently serving at the Wells Preserve at Laudholm, will present Exploring an Ecosystem. She will describe watershed ecosystems and estuaries using an interactive watershed model; sample the water at the St. George River’s head of tide and lead a short walk on the historic Georges River Canal trail. The event is free, and all are invited to bring their questions and come explore local watersheds together. Carpooling is encouraged, and refreshments will be provided. Bring a folding chair or blanket for sitting. Participants may opt to bring their own picnic or boat and enjoy the park and river following the presentation. In the event of heavy rain, the presentation will be moved to Nativity Lutheran Church, 179 Old County Road, Rockport.
